Sunday 30th June - Meeting for Worship
Lunch and the AGM

Meeting House entrance

The Ayton Meeting Room

Meeting for Worship was at 10.30 am and very well attended. The Meeting room was almost completely full and the Meeting very much enjoyed and appreciated by old scholars.

On behalf of all OS may we express our appreciation to Ayton Meeting for their hospitality during this and other Reunion weekends.

These two new photographs of the Meeting House entrance and of the Meeting Room were taken during the Weekend by George Hetherington.

On page three reference was made to first of two very pleasant Reunion surprises for our  President Dick Dennis, the second of which is explained here.

On Saturday evening Dick learnt that his five Lewis cousins - children of Joan Lewis (Dennis) and grandchildren of Herbert and Muriel Dennis (Headmaster and Mistress of the Family respectively from 1913 to 1940) had all returned for the Reunion.

Here they are: L to R - Jen Cubitt, Gay Owen-Lloyd, Jill Sivry , Dick Dennis, Jo Hearld, and Tim Lewis.

Lunch and the AGM were held in the
Marquee at Whinstone View

The weather was not so kind on Sunday and by midday the rain prevented the usual greeting and catching up with news since last year outside the marquee. Not that the talking stopped - normal service continued in the marquee over lunch.

Frank and Wyn Ambler Reunions are becoming more and more family occasions.

Frank and Wyn Ambler are AGM regulars now having travelled up from Horsforth for the day.

The 2002 AGM was well attended. Photo: George Hetherington. The AGM followed after lunch with around 70 to 80 in attendance.

Sue Fox (retiring Chairman) welcomed all. After a short silence in memory of ex-Presidents Arthur Grainge and Stanley Laverick, who had sadly died since the last AGM, Dick Dennis delivered his Presidential Address - (the text of which is published on separate pages) followed by routine AGM business.

It was then time to say goodbyes for another year and to look forward to the 2003 Reunion.

The 2003 Reunion will be held over the last weekend of June, Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th
