The sight most  Ayton old scholars had of School on their first day of each term. The Meeting House entrance is behind the trees on the extreme left of the photo.

On the left - what used to be "B" Dormitory on the top floor, with Matron's sitting room and sickbay below. The ivy-covered house is known to most old scholars as the Headmaster's House.
