In the past the Secretary’s report has been quite substantial, however in these days of computers and e-mails the life of the secretary is much much easier. The main job now, as always, is to keep a record of the meetings of the committee. These can then be typed up and with the aid of the spell check, the ability to back space and delete errors, keep records safe and accessible and e-mail the results to Committee Members, the job has become ‘a bowl of cherries’ so to speak. Your Committee works well and happily to keep the Association alive and well. The fact that so many of us are here today is a tribute to their dedication and to that of all Members who have in the past taken office and given of their time for the good of us all. Report from the School Committee William Pine and I were co-opted onto the School Committee and can report that the interests of the School are being well looked after. The Committee has to meet annually to fulfil the commitments of the constitution but at the last meeting there were no changes and therefore there is nothing to report. Reports from Jill Wheeler. |
