1.  Greetings and Apologies for absence were received from; Clifford Morgan, Jane Dawson, Ruth Sinclair (Coates), Margaret Ramsdale (Waites), Dorothy Rudd (Lister), Eleanor Hone (Jackson), Anne Chetwynd-Stapleton (Pease), Eric Rodham, Charles Megginson, Dick Dennis, Colin Maclaurin-Jones, Norman and Maureen Reed, June Dunn (Rhodes), Jill Wheeler (Rhodes), Joanna Shackleton, Rachel Coverdale, Kathlyn Tonkin (Bearby), Tony Jeffries, Stuart Brammer, Joyce Emmerson, Dinah Prior, Mary Kidd (McClure) Diana Neville-Smith (Kidd), Arthur Grainge, Sonia Wade (Dunn), Joan Kilpatrick (Lishman), Alan Noble, George and Blossom Sanger, Kitty Andreis (Harth) and Vivien Flynn.
2. The minutes of the 109th A.G.M. were taken as read from the Magazine, and were proposed and seconded by Roy George and Clifford Weschenfelder.
3.  There were no matters arising.
4. The secretary’s report was read.
5. Treasurer’s report - the balance sheet was distributed and Clifford Weschenfelder read out the report thanking the District Secretaries for their help and also thanking the Auditor Eric Rodham. The matter of the Evelyn Nicholson fund was raised and it was explained that the monies left would eventually be used on preserving and displaying the archives when the alterations to the Meeting House were complete.
6. Gill Jackson read out the Editor’s report and expressed her thanks to all who helped her with the production of the magazine.
7. Proposed acceptance of the above three reports: Wendy Smith proposed acceptance and Barbara Clarke seconded this.
8. Proposed changes to the Constitution. Sue explained that due to 80 publishing problems the changes to the Constitution had not been included in the Reunion notice and therefore according to the rules we must wait for publication and the correct time lapse before any changes could take place. This is now scheduled for the AGM 2000.
9. Retirement and Resignation of Officers: Reunion Co-ordinator Rachel Coverdale; Representative on Executive Committee June Dunn; (Ordinary Members) Joanna Shackleton; Tessa Snowdon; Representative on School Committee Richard Beck; Immediate Past President Dorothy Newby (Danby).

Joe gave a vote of thanks to all retiring members and thanked them for all their hard work, much of it going completely unnoticed behind scenes and in committee.
10. Re-election of Officers willing and able to remain in office: Chairman Sue Fox; General Secretary Margaret Carnegie; Treasurer Clifford Weschenfelder; Editor Gill Jackson; Ordinary member Roy George; Records' Secretary Dick Dennis; Convenor of Nominations’ Committee Mary Banks; Co-opted member Dinah Prior.

This was proposed by Jane Campbell and seconded by Sheila Howd 

11. Election of Officers: Reunion Co-ordinator Tessa Snowdon; Representatives of Executive Committee to serve as Ordinary Members Rachel Coverdale; Iain Blair, John Weschenfelder; Co-opted member Samantha Noble (Hatfield); Representatives of Executive Committee to serve on the School Committee Clifford Weschenfelder (l year) Roy George (2 Years) Sue Fox (3 years).

This was proposed by Joyce Spinks and seconded by Margaret Cumbor.
12. Nomination of one member to serve on Nominations' Committee: Samantha Noble was proposed by Tessa Snowdon and seconded by Clifford Weschenfelder.
13.  Appointment of Auditor - Eric Rodham has agreed to continue as Auditor of the Accounts.
14.  Nomination of President Elect: Gill Jackson proposed Arthur Grainge as President Elect and this was seconded by Beryl Colwell.
15.  The meeting ended at 5.15p.m. with a special vote of thanks by Roy George to Sue Fox and to all who had made the weekend such a success.
After the official meeting Robert Campbell made an appeal on behalf of the Ayton Meeting for funds for the alterations to the Ayton Meeting House. The alterations are necessary because of the closure of the school and the need to utilise the space more efficiently, including the storage and display of the school and Old Scholars memorabilia, photographs and documents.
