AN INTRODUCTION TO THE
AYTON OLD SCHOLARS' HISTORY SECTION
(an asterisk * against the name denotes: deceased)

The AOSA History section previously contained a simple list of Presidents from the first year of the Association to present day and a short Association history. As the years pass and the list of Presidents grows there are more and more old scholars who have not met the vast majority of past living Presidents, nor seen photographs of those who are no longer with us.

This History section of our website now seeks to at least partly rectify this with through the Presidents' Gallery with as many photos as can be found, either provided by relatives or the persons involved; other photos have been found in the School archives and many are scanned from Annual Reports - all collectively recording Association Presidents for posterity.

The full list of Presidents appears in reverse order on the left hand side of this text. To look at their photographs will need to use scroll bar to move the list up or down and the click on a name which is coloured and underlined; this is a link to that person's photograph. When the mouse pointer is over a linked name it will change colour to red.  If the name is not highlighted there is no photograph available.

There is a separate page showing the full list of all Presidents to date. Follow this link

An additional section is portraits and photographs of Ayton School Headmasters and Headmistresses. Following this link will take you to a similar frame set.
